Tommaso is specialized in Data Protection Law, Information Technology, Digital Advertising and Big Data.
He has assisted several Italian companies and leading multinational groups offering advice on many issues related to privacy, carrying out risk assessment activities to enhance companies’ business models with compliance requirements, with a specific focus in data governance.
In his experience, he dealt with marketing, online advertising and prize competitions, data protection impact assessments, biometrics, Big Data, forensic investigations, international data transfers, exercise of data subjects’ rights, management of Data Protection Officer activities, offering its own ongoing consultancy to clients also in the context of secondment agreement.
Tommaso also gained significant expertise in the field of administrative responsibility of entities (pursuant to Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001), conducting Risk Assessment activities, drafting and updating procedures, internal business policies, organizational models and codes of conduct, also managing the activities of Supervisory Bodies as set forth under Article 6 of the Decree.
In the field of Corporate Law, he has carried out M&A operations and company secretarial activities, drafted legal opinions and commercial contracts, as well as supported clients in judicial disputes in the areas of civil law, intellectual property, executive and bankruptcy proceedings.
Tommaso also holds a Second Level Master’s Degree in Competition and Innovation Law from the LUISS School of Law (Rome) with a thesis on Big Data from both competition and privacy law’s perspectives.
