Meet Dan Or-Hof

Ranked as a leader in Cyberlaw and acknowledged as an international thought leader in data protection, Dan Or-Hof is the founder of Or-Hof Law. Dan’s expertise is derived from both academic and practical experience. Dan has an intimate knowledge and a great passion to technology and innovation. As an influential figure in the field, domestic and beyond, Dan writes professional reports for both legal and economic platforms, contributes to renowned international publications, such as DataGuidance and the IAPP Privacy Advisor, and frequently speaks in professional and academic forums.

Over 20 years of daily practice in technology and IP Law has made Dan a knowledge and expertise center for topics such as the webbased services, AI and machine learning, cloud environments, robotics, drones and connected devices.
Dan has formed and is chairing the Israeli Data Protection Professionals Forum (IDPF) – a professional hub for privacy and cyber security practitioners. He has also formed and was the first chair of the IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals) Israeli chapter (KnoweldgeNet).

Dan teaches Privacy and Data Protection in multiple academic and professional forums, including in the Tel Aviv University’s law faculty and previously in the Reichman and Bar Ilan Universities.
Dan is a member of the Privacy Protection Public Council, a statutory advisory =council, advising the justice department, other ministries and Knesset committees on privacy-related legislation and regulation. In this capacity, Dan has authored numerous position papers and appeared before the Knesset committees in hearings on multiple legislation processes. Dan is a member of the International Associations of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), he is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US and CIPP/E), a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) and has gained the Fellow of Privacy Information (FIP) highly regarded acknowledgement.
